this is a two-page spread of the same magazine layout. i have given the space more to visuals because this article is more to showcasing the works of the featured artists. organized, neat and simple. to me, unless it is my work, i will have to keep it this way. this shows respect to the artists.

i do too include the biodatas of the artists/designers so that readers will be able to know who these people are and get to know more about them, since this is for a design magazine.

i have used red to attract reader’s attention and also give them the indirect intention of ‘danger’ to somehow tell how renown these artists are and how they actually get to this point. this will entice readers to read more.

i have made it simple because to me there isn’t any specific great inspiration techniques when it comes to designing something. inspirations come to you. thus i felt this simplicity works well because objects around you can be your inspiration.

ive included a giraffe because giraffes are gentle creatures and tall as they are, they ‘overlook’ things, and to me why look so far out when you can find something close to you, around you.

the smoke represents the hideous fart where sometimes you can hear it and smell it but you cant see it. it is these two factors that show the existence of air, thus we dont always have to find a reason to everything there is like why the air we breathe is oxygen and not carbon monoxide.
